Since last Sunday, Anne Zagré can prepare the next weeks of the competition with confidence. The 29-year-old Belgian record-holder in the 100m hurdles ran the world Championship minimum at La Chaux-de-Fonds and is currently preparing for the Meeting International d'Athlétisme de la Province de Liège.

Anne Zagré has suffered in recent years due to numerous injuries. The Belgian record holder, however, has regained its form just in time which suggests an encouraging summer of athletics. She proved it last Sunday at La Chaux-de-Fonds in Switzerland. Her 12 “96 was her best timerecord since the series of the World Championship in London in 2017. In Liège, Zagré can go even faster and who knows, get closer to her Belgian record of almost four years ago (from 12 “71).

However, our compatriot will not receive the victory on a silver platter. Ayako Kimura is the Japanese record holder in the hurdles with 13 “03 and has only one desire: to prove herself in view of the Olympic Games to be held in her own country next year. In addition, Beate Schrott, who won the bronze medal at the European Championships in 2012, is also eagerly awaited. The Austrian, with a PR of 12 “82, is also known as the wife of the second best triple jumper of all time, the American Christian Taylor.
